Q: How does RPM qualify tenants and how do I know the tenants are good tenants?

A:  Bad tenants can make even a profitable investment cumbersome and expensive while good tenants make real estate investing a bliss.

Finding great tenants is more an art than a science.  There are four things that make up a good tenant review and retention process:

Marketing – RPM’s powerful marketing is unmatched.  Not only do we use traditional advertising channels (like newspaper and sign in the yard) on our listings, but we also syndicate our listings to over 100 internet web sites.  Additionally, we’re at the forefront of the latest trends in rental property marketing.

Easily Accessible Property Information – Marketing means nothing unless prospective tenants can find the information they are looking for quickly and easily.  If a tenant is interested in one of our properties and call for more information, they will always reach a live person who’s ready and able to provide them with property information, or they can always visit our online rental search where they can self-search properties, request information, or even apply online.

Comprehensive Qualification Process –  It takes years of experience and an intimate knowledge of fair housing laws, along with good screening tools to properly be able to gauge a tenant’s rent-worthiness.  RPM is a licensed real estate broker that is familiar with fair housing laws and we’ve leased thousands of properties.  We use the latest background screening technologies to help us gather valuable information on a prospective tenant.  Then we work with the Owner and talk through whether to refuse or accept the applicant.

Ongoing Support & Retention Programs – Once we have a good tenant in place, we want to do what we can to reward them and keep them.  We offer excellent support to our tenants; whether its a question related to their account or a maintenance request.  Tenants love that they’re dealing with a larger management company that can provide them the resources they want/need.  Additionally, we’re constantly seeking new ways to reward good tenants!
